Ryan has spent the last 16 years in the submarine cable industry with the last 6 years as a consultant working in the Americas/APAC/South Pacific/Oceania regions, among other locations. The focus of his work has been on international undersea and terrestrial telecommunications and power transmission, specifically the following: marine program management including route design, engineering and installation of undersea cable infrastructure; procurement of cable landing services and infrastructure including existing and new-build seaward ducts, beach manholes, fronthaul duct routes, cable landing stations and backhaul capacity; and PoP-to-PoP network development and data center colocation. Ryan has knowledge of and relationships with major submarine cable suppliers/installers, marine service providers, and cable landing station providers. Ryan has an in-depth understanding of industry standard specifications for undersea cable construction and installation. Ryan has served as an elected Executive Committee member of the International Cable Protection Committee (ICPC) and is also the acting General Manager of the ICPC (www.iscpc.org).
